Why do gold medalist always bite it? Is it a tradition? Because it looks like a huge chocolate coin or something? Or to make sure it’s not fake gold?
I just learned about this today. It’s just a tradition. The photographers make them do that. Actually people many years ago would bite down on a gold coin to make sure it was real or not. The way they would know that is because it would leave teeth marks.
